The Mayor's House is our main accommodation. It was featured on Channel 4's "A Place in the Sun" when we transformed it from a run-down wreck into a stunning rural cottage.  The house stands high in the Stara Planina mountains amid breathtaking scenery.

The house is located in a very quiet area with its own private swimming pool, a south facing garden, a summer house, a east facing patio area, panoramic views and a barbecue. If you are driving there is private parking with external lighting in the outside areas.

The Mayor's House house comprises three bedrooms in total; two doubles, one twin and one cot . This gives room for up to six people. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use. There are two 2 bathrooms for your party's use and central heating keeps you snug and warm during some of Bulgaria's fresher spells!

For your entertainment we have a television with dvd and a satellite/cable connection. The music system plays cassettes, cds and has a radio. A computer with Internet connection is also available for your use. Recreational activities include table tennis.

There is room for six people in the living room and the dining room seats four adults at a time. To prepare your food, there is a hob, an oven, a microwave, a fridge, a freezer, a kettle and a toaster. You will also find a washing machine plus an iron and ironing board. We also provide cutlery, crockery, glassware and cooking utensils. Our water supply is completely natural local spring water.

Getting to us and visiting nearby

We are 200 km from Sofia/Varna airport and 14 km from our nearest town, Veliko Tarnovo, which is home to Tsaravets fortress.  We are less than 35km from Dryanovo Monastery and the famous Bacho Kiro caves, the awesome Emen Gorge waterfall and the Etara working museum.

We offer our guests mountain bikes, ski equipment, car hire (4x4) for the mountains - with a guide if you need one. We also offer a babysitting service.

The house is perfectly situated for walking, cycling, mountain biking and of course horse riding.

Less than 15 minutes drive away : Close by you will find fishing, tennis, historic sites, a restaurant and a food shop.

Less than 45 minutes drive away : Boat hire, climbing, skiing/snowboarding, a sports center, a museum, a zoo, a theatre/cinema, shopping areas.
